Welcome to our fifth Hull & East Yorkshire People In Business Awards, we are delighted to bring this event back to the region to celebrate and reward the achievements of the people in your business community.

 

Categories

The awards have a range of 16 categories to choose from with no limit to the number you can enter your employees into.

  • Recognising individuals who are newer to their positions, or have recently taken on further responsibilities.Entrants must have made a notable difference and contribution to the workplace within their short time in their position, whether that be through improving internal communication, exceeding their targets set or receiving notable recognition from clients and customers.

  • Recognising those who consistently exceed expectations and go beyond their set job requirements.They will sustain excellence in their overall job performance, demonstrate a cooperative, positive attitude and are dedicated to making a positive difference in the workplace.

  • Recognising an individual who is currently completing an apprenticeship within the business.They will demonstrate commitment to their personal development and have high ambition for progression. They will also have shown great contribution in a short space of time within the team.

  • Now recognising a customer facing team within any industry or sector. Collectively, they will demonstrate a customer-first approach that has been recognised through feedback, always possess a positive and collaborative attitude, satisfy customer needs, solve problems presented and continually strive for improvement. They will provide a gold level service that is not only recognised externally, but internally too.

  • Recognising an individual that consistently delivers excellent customer service and goes above and beyond to assist customers.They provide a standout service that has been widely recognised within the business and has also been highlighted by customers. No problem presented is unmanageable and they are a service champion in every situation.

  • Recognising an individual who has started their own business since January 2023.

    They will have demonstrated success and opportunity for growth within their short time in business, and possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to drive the business forward. They aren’t scared to take risks, have identified a clear gap within their market and have a strong vision and mission for the future.

  • Recognising an individual who has started their own business (of any size).They will have demonstrated a fearless, entrepreneurial spirit that has helped them, and their business succeed. This person will be driven by their commitment, vision and calculated risk-taking that has led them to build something notable.

  • Recognising an individual who has made a real difference to the company, whether that be implementing a new strategy, changing the way the business works or developing the team.They may have made a notable contribution to the company’s CSR or community/charity involvement. They are committed to the business and public perception of it, go beyond to help others succeed and are a figure to look up to for other team members.

  • Recognising someone who continually strives to change, improve and innovate operations.They actively stay ahead of others when it comes to trends and technological advances, will always look at a problem and see a solution and embrace change or risks. Driving growth by looking ahead is their forte and they are always prepared to evolve as the business expands, changes pace or introduces new offerings.

  • Recognising a team of determined individuals who consistently produce great work. This can be a sub-team within a business, or the company’s full team. The team will deliver measurable results, drive overall business success and contribute to revenue growth.

  • Recognising a person in a management or senior management position. They will manage at least one other member of staff and be instrumental in decision making.They demonstrate their effective leadership, reliability and influence daily, and have built excellent working relationships with their team. As a manager, they equip their staff with the best advice and tools for professional development and business success.

  • Recognising an individual who has achieved great success in the face of adversity. They will continually persevere in accomplishing a goal, despite professional or personal obstacles, and will have used both positive and negative experiences for learning and growth.

  • Recognising someone who has had a distinguished career lasting for at least ten years. Their career has not only been long, but full of notable achievements.They will have greatly influenced and enriched the business they are a part of and made a measurable difference to the people they work with. They have shown unnerved commitment.

How to buy tickets

If you would like to purchase tickets to attend the event, you can purchase as many individual tickets as you like or you can purchase a table of 10 guests. Ticket include arrival drink, 3 course meal, coffee and the evenings entertainment.
